RESUMO
To study the effect of coffee and dietary fats on blood lipids, different preparations of coffee and dietary fats were fed ad-libitum to a group of 6 male albino rats for 30 days. The results revealed that all types of coffee, namely green, roasted, instant, and decaffeinated coffee alter the pattern of blood lipids compared to the control group. The impact of different types of coffee was highly significant when the type of dietary fat was saturated more than with the unsaturated fat. Decaffeinated and roasted coffee had the same effect on serum lipids as other types of coffee preparations
